GUIDE AND FAQs

FAQS

What is Deezer? What is their difference to other streaming platforms available?

A: Deezer is an audio streaming platform same as Spotify, Apple Music, Youtube Music among others. Their main difference is they offer a "lossless" audio quality that means they are using compression technologies (FLAC and ALAC) that do not discard any of the music file’s data, so listeners can access a perfect, bit-for-bit reproduction of the original audio. A “lossy” service, on the other hand, reduces sound quality by using a compression technology such as MP3, AAC, or Ogg Vorbis to discard most of the original digital data.

What is the difference between a playlist and a queue?

A: A playlist is a "saved" set of songs by a particular user while queues show what song is going to play next and allow to make change the playback order. They differ from playlists because they are faster to create and modify and are not permanent. Users have complete control being able to clear the queue, add and remove songs on playlists and move them around.

What are the available charts on Deezer?

A: Please see list of charts here. . We usually aim to enter the Top PH and World Charts which includes the most streamed tracks within the platform for the respective region.

Why cant we add the track again to our playlist/s?

A: unfortunately, it is a system design. You cannot add a track multiple times within the same playlist. What we recommend is to create a "main" playlist where you can add the next cycle by adding to queue. You may also import your existing Spotify playlists.
